Despite all my good intentions I haven't managed to keep up to date on here..bad girl!! I will try harder in future I promise. Work has been ok over the last few weeks, nothing exciting happened apart from Alans parrot recovering from a near death experience which I think was down to God cos I prayed hard for poor chico.
Our kids club and youth club has been back on since the kids went back to school and although the kids club is going from strength to strength we have been missing quite a lot of the regulars from our youth club :o(. It may be just that now the light nights are here its safe to hang round on the streets, or maybe they have just been there and done it now and its time for them to move on....I am sad whatever the reason as we have built up some good friendships.
Church on Sunday just gone was flippin ace. My lovely mate Lorraine was made an adherent and invited half of Swinton. I love it when our church is full and noisy and full of excitement. As we were praying before the meeting began the chattering was really loud and I could tell people were happy to be in Gods house whether they thought of it like that or not! We sang loads of ace songs and everyone had tambourines even Lorraines mates. Lorraine gave her testimony and I wish I could have recorded it to put on here because she is just so on fire for Jesus it is just so lovely to see and hear what Jesus has done in her life. She not only told her own story of how and when she got saved but made sure everyone knew that they needed Jesus as their own personal saviour. Jesus is just so good at transforming lives and Lorraine is a great example of just how amazing Jesus is. Chatted with Lorraines mum after the meeting and she said that everyone in the family thought Lorraine was ill as she had changed so much...how ace is that hahahah go Jesus!!!!!!
Looking forward to Roots on Friday and looking forward to staying in Monicas mansion....dead excited wooooohoooooooooooooooooooo.

Had a really good week last week..work was excellent especially hearing that we had won 500 creme eggs woohooooo alright I know that we have to share those out between 40 of us which I think last time I tapped away at the calculator was 12 each with a few left over (I have claimed the odd one already and in fact they are already in my tummy haha) Had another mystery shopper visit us on Tuesday morning, we aren't supposed to know who they are but when you have worked somewhere for as long as I have they get easy to spot especially as they have to do certain things during their visit like ask for a receipt and visit the loos...we got a perfect score again so maybe get another bonus next month. I am waffling about work now which is always sad so will stop.
On Friday after work I went up to Hollybush Christian Fellowship in Yorkshire with Christine and Lorraine, Elaine and Tony were camping on the site and made us a lovely jubbly tea. They always have a Friday night celebration and its always excellent and Friday was no exception. A worship leader called Angie Lendon was there as a guest and was really really ace. I'm not sure whether the word ace is good enough really as she was better than ace...everything she did on Friday was because of Jesus and Gods presence was so real and there. God is everywhere I know that but I think that there are some places where we go really expecting God to show up in a big way and God rewards our faith. I may be completely wrong and someone can correct me on that if they want in the comments section. To most of us at our church Hollybush is a really special place as God has done some awesome stuff there. I really can't wait till summer for our church holiday there! I have put a link on here on the right hand side so you can listen to Angie Lendons songs if you wish.

Well my resolve to try and post summat every day never happened lol, just get too busy doing other stuff.
Had a very busy but not stressful week last week, the kids are off and usually that means chaos at work and it has been chaos but I managed to keep my head screwed on for a change. I was off work on Good Friday and in the morning we had a meditation at church which was very reflective and gave us the space and quiet to try to consider what Jesus went through on the cross. Then we had a open air witness on the shopping precinct with Churches Together...don't know how many people were there but I think there was a lot.
On saturday I was supposed to be going to see the twins and Gaynor and Paul but got that hot and bothered waiting around for the bus that I just got some new trainers and came home, I am not a very patient person just ask my mates. I decided on the bus that I was going to ask Krista (another sister) to come to church on the Sunday, I told her that she never does anything with me lol, is blackmail allowed? Anyway she told me to ring her early in the morning..I rang her again that night just to remind her. Prayed hard that she would come because I really want our Krista in heaven with me, I want all my family to be saved but at the moment I think Krista really needs Jesus (everyone really needs Jesus I know that but Krista is going under-hard to explain my logic) On Easter Sunday morning we had a dawn service on the Town hall steps with Churches Together, I played my guitar badly with Elaine who played well lol. When I got home I rang Krista but she didn't answer, tried ringing her all morning before church but no answer at all. I am fuming with the devil for getting into her head. I am going to keep mithering her cos I am good at that. Church was ace. Nearly a full house but not quite as a few people away on holiday. Monica was enrolled as a soldier and her mum and sister came which was ace...she looked so lovely in her uniform and is fired up for the battle yahoooo.
Scot has just gone to his dads until Saturday so I will be able to use the computer a bit more than I do because he hogs it so much grrrr. On Friday I am going up to Hollybush Christian Fellowship for their Friday night celebration and am looking forward to is so much, Lorraine is coming and I can't wait for her to see where we camp in the summer etc

Its been ages since I last posted anything on here...mainly due to not feeling like blogging. I updated my blog onto the new version of blogger and lost the link to the council of war blog page so if anyone reading this knows how I can get this back on there then please leave a comment with instructions.Ta.
Anyway lots of stuff has been going on in here in Swinton. Church has been ace. The bible study restarted and we have been working through a lent study which has been excellent. Kids club has been good and youth club too....and church well thats been excellent. God keeps trusting us with new people and on Sunday we had 3 new adults and 2 new kids. I am going to pray really hard that God will keep trusting us with new people and that when they do come in they are made to feel as welcome as I did when I 1st came but most of all going to pray dead hard that they will get saved...woohoooo!! After church yesterday we had a teaching session about baptism which was really informative. It seems that God is really speaking to people in The Salvation Army about this as last weekend Lorraine and myself went to a baptist church to watch about 17 members of a local Salvation Army being baptised. I have to say that it was so beautiful and very moving and most of the people there testified to the fact that they were being obedient to Gods word. Who can argue with that eh? I also read on http://www.isaiah43-amazinglove.blogspot.com/ that a lot of their Salvation Army church members are being baptised this Thursday. I think its all about being obedient not rebelling. When I got baptised in 2003 I knew that it was something that God wanted me to do and I have to say that on that day my life changed completely..I know that my life changed the day I got saved but when I got baptised well it was like I had reached another level with God..hard to explain. People just need to study Gods word and not just believe what they have been told.
Me and Elaine went to The abundant life church last night. The sermon was about What is Heaven like? My head was well and truly cabbaged at the end of the service because the minister said quite a lot of stuff that I have never heard before. He was teaching that there are people in heaven now and that when people get saved on earth it is these people that rejoice with Jesus over their salvation, so if you have friends and family in heaven they will be having a party for you etc..well I have never heard that before. I just thought to myself that I have no friends or family that I know in heaven so who would be rejoicing over me lol..I don't know if its important to know about this kind of stuff and that maybe I should just be happy to know that I am going to live with Jesus for eternity..but I like to know about the 'behind the scenes' stuff too. The good thing about hearing stuff that I don't know about is that it makes me want to stick my head in my Bible and find out so its all good init!
Work has been well.......................work and some days I hate it and some days I love it. Was hammered today as the schools are off for Easter Holidays. I managed to cope all day without my head feeling like it was going to explode. Thank you Jesus cos I prayed so hard this morning to have a nice day :o) oh yeah nearly forgot to add that my oldest sister Gaynor had twins on the 20th March and here is a pic hmmm well there would be a photo there if I could figure out how to upload them.
Well thats it for now. I am going to see if I can manager to put something on here every day. yeah wateva Linz lol
