Been fairly busy this week at work due to half term. Not mad busy but steady so my stress levels didn't reach a peak lol. We have always been told on courses at work that a certain amount of stress is actually quite good for you, that might be true for certain people but I can say it aint good for me, I don't enjoy being stressed at all even if I know it might be good for me.
Went to the fat club on Tuesday and somehow managed to reach my first target woooohooo I haven't a clue how that happened as I haven't been that good to be honest, I haven't been eating bad things but also haven't been eating that much good stuff either if that makes sense. Anway I have now lost 1 stone and 1 pound yay, its taken over 4 months but I feel a bit more motivated now, Christine reached her 1st target last week and Monica is on her way I think.
I went round to my sisters house yesterday and spent the day with her and baby as her husband and my nephew had gone out to the footie. To be honest I am always a wary of going as I don't want to put myself in situations that I don't think I can handle, spiritually or mentally. Had a good day chatting and looking at 100s of photos and playing with the baby (9 months old now). Left at 5ish and felt distressed on the way home. I missed loads of opportunities to share with my sister about Jesus yesterday, she asked me questions that I didn't answer properly as I was embarrassed and don't know why...very riled with myself and upset. I can tell friends and strangers about Jesus and what He can do for them but when it comes to my family, I find it so hard. Its a very selfish attitude to have as my sister and her family could end up in hell and that frightens the life out of me. Lord I pray for courage to talk to my family!

Just sat waiting for Joe to pick me up from work and since the pc was still on thought I'd tell you all how cream crackered I am...yawn yawn and yawn. I have had enough of gettin up at half four seven days a week, well actually on Saturday and Sunday its half five so I get a lie in yay lol
I'm expecting a hard day at work today as I know we don't have a lot of staff in, not trying to be negative just realistic. I'm going to try to stay upbeat all day and think of Jesus.

Addicted!!!
Addicted to what you might be asking - well its the X Factor, its taken over my Saturday nights..I love it. While I was watching it last night I was on the phone to Elaine talking about it, I was worse than Simon Cowell lol. I'm thinking Ben will win this year but I also think Dionne has an amazing voice. I apologise that this might mean nothing to some people but thats my life innit.
Anyway back to my weekly report on work, church and life.
Work has been a mixed bag this week really. One of the managers got sacked and unfortunately I played a part in that, well actually it wasn't my fault it was his own, but I feel bad that I noticed discrepancies and reported it. Should I have just turned a blind eye to what was happening? Had a quiet word with him? As a christian is there a right 'christian thing' to do in these situations? I dunno and my heads a bit mashed with it all to be honest, I just wish that I didn't get involved in these situations but as a manager at work I can't help being involved. I dunno. Had to email Human Resources regarding my pay this week as for the last 4 years McDs have been capping my pay rise, apparently I have reached the maximum pay that my job is worth so am only allowed to have half my pay rise every year. Well I'm not having that and am kicking up a fuss lol. Complained to the vice president of macs last year and nothing happened but I won't give up, its not like macs can't afford to pay us more is it? Anyway we'll see what happens.
Youth club and kids club were excellent, loads of kids again. Answered prayer from last week as we have a new helper, Lorraine who comes to church yay. Couple of new children registered for the first club, they used to come to mums and tots a few years ago so its good to still have contact. We have a well needed break this week due to half term woohooo. I will probably see all the kids at some point tho at work, I love it when they come in and everyone goes all the kids know you, kind of makes me feel a bit famous haha
I will have to leave it here as I need to get ready for work, its nearly half five and my hair still looks like an affro hehe.

Woohoooo got my computer back and its all mended...thanks to my mate Joe...nice one r kid. Can't believe how much I have missed the computer...had 941 emails to delete and about 5 that were worth reading haha, I really do need to get myself off all the mail listings.
So anyway the rest of my week since I last blogged has been good...on Wednesday I got my hair cut really short, my sister thinks I may have buckled her scissors with my hair lol...anyway its a lot more manageable now and I don't have to tie it up for work and....it fits under a cap which is important for work!!!!
Wednesday night was Bible Study at church, at the moment we are working on planning a meeting in our group, its all interesting stuff and makes me wonder whether I should have done this before I did my meetings...I think I did ok without actually but I enjoy learning stuff so its all good.
Thursday night was our kids club and youth club at church and I have to say that they were fab this week....We had 33 kids at the first club which is called J-Team. We opened the craft cabin tonight for the kids and it was fab. The kids were really just colouring in pictures with Thank You Jesus on and writing Thank You Jesus in different languages..we had an ace time chatting and singing and saying the Lords Prayer which somehow managed to go on for about 3 minutes...still can't figure out how it lasted that long haha, all the kids wanted to sing songs so we had a mini x factor which was really funny and good....for the last 30 minutes of club the kids have toast and a drink and then Joe leads them in songs and then this week Joe did the God slot with them. After a prayer at the end its sweets and then hometime. I love being outside when all the parents come and get the kids as you get chance to talk to them and tell them that their kids have been ace this week etc or maybe not some weeks!!
Youth club was also excellent but hard work...17 this week :o) the noise level from the girls is possibly ear drum damaging and i'm sure if someone came and measured it from the environmental health it would probably be classed as dangerous lol....they just flippin scream while talking and argue and bicker and fall out and then make friends, its crakers. Its all good though and when you think about it, these kids could be anywhere yet they choose to come to us. For the last half hour again its toast and drinks but round tables in groups....we must have gone through about 3 full loaves of bread if not more just for youth club, those lads can really put toast away. After toast we have a God slot and a discussion which is always quite stressful to be honest, I know some of the weeks that I've led the end part I've nearly been in tears afterwards and always say I'm not doing it again lol...but I will and do, do it again. I'm not sure what they think of us lot as Christians really, it doesn't matter if they think we're all nut cases really, what matters is that for those last 15-20 minutes every Thursday we talk about Jesus openly and seeds are sown into their lives. I mentioned last time that we desperately need more helpers at club so am asking again for anyone reading this to please pray for those people that are already in our church to offer help.
I don't work weekends so yesterday spent most of the day doing what I like to do best........................................NOWT! My evening was taken up with the x factor which I'm addicted to and then I watched a film called The Island which gave me nightmares lol.
Today was church and as usual it was fab...again loads of testimonies and prayer. I went out and helped with Sunday School so missed half the meeting. Joined everyone at the end for drinks/cakes and biscuits yumyumyum.
I can't think of anything else to write about so I will leave it at that.

Catching up
Its been a while since I last posted.....had major problems with my computer as it just suddenly stopped working sob sob, apparently the drive just packed in which is not that surprising as it was a bit old. Getting a new drive off ebay and computer should be up and running by weekend yayayayayay...can't wait as Scot has been pacing the house like a trapped dog.
So whats been happening in my world then? Well I've been working hard as usual which is nothing new haha...I actually worked a night shift for the first time in over 10 years as Scot was at his dads for his birthday ( he is 14 now..can't believe I have a 14 yr old son), really enjoyed working at night as I got to work with staff that I rarely see. Still missing my Alan but coping without him so thats good. Our kids club and youth club at church is back in full swing now and we are getting 30+ kids to the first club with new kids signing up each week. Me and Christine were only saying a few weeks ago that maybe we should leaflet the local schools but there really isn't any need ty Jesus. The youth club is great, got off to a slow start after the summer holidays with just a handful but last week we had 15 :o)
out of that 15 only 2 come to church on Sunday...so thats 13 kids spending time at church and seeing God in action without probably realising it. We really could do with more helpers tho and for those helpers to be able to just chat to the kids and play with them so prayers needed for that. Church has just been amazing the last month or so (well actually it always is..) we have had a couple of new people..people have made commitments to Jesus...really ace stuff has been happening. A few Sundays ago we sang the first song, prayed and then had a testimony time..that went on for over 40 minutes!!!! Last Sunday was our harvest festival and church was packed, I can't ever remember that many people coming before for harvest... we had well over 50 Praise God and pass the ammunition..! I think we can all sense at church that things are happening and that people are growing in faith as people are taking on responsibility for stuff and doing more for God. Another really really ace thing thats happened at church is that Elaine has come home. Elaine was the associate officer at Swinton until July 2005 when she was moved to Stretford and then Bury in February (I think) well in July of this year her 3 years of lieutenancy were up so God and Elaine both decided that she should come home to Swinton and be part of our church again wooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I was really really happy about this as she is my lovely jubbly mate. So now she is back and right where God wants her...Thank you Jesus for that too.
'RIGHT HERE IN THIS PLACE (SWINTON)
GODS SPIRIT IS MOVING:
RIGHT HERE IN THIS PLACE
AS THE FATHER SAID IT WOULD BE alleluia
RIGHT HERE IN THIS PLACE
LALALALALALALALA
Cant actually remember the rest of that song lol....I will stick it in when I find the words.
I'm trying to think of anything else to write about thats been happening, I'm sure there's loads of stuff that will probably come back to me over the next few days as God has been so good, I will have to blog about it next time I get chance to get on a computer.
